Build My Camper: Hawk (Base Model w/ Roll Over Couch)

Looking for a safe way to get in & out of your camper? This is a great option for that. The 2-step hitch receiver step will fit into most any hitch receiver. Lightweight aluminum design.

All new Four Wheel Campers require that our factory service techs or your local dealer installs our camper tie downs and a simple wiring harness in your truck bed before loading the camper and sending you out on your adventures. The camper tie downs (forged, zinc coated, eye bolts installed in the truck bed) will keep the camper on your truck during your travels. The wiring harness will allow your truck alternator to recharge the deep cycle battery(s) inside your camper while you are driving to and from your destinations.

A very small number of the mid-sized trucks with the crew cab and really short 5.0' bed, might require the camper to be "bolted down" on to the truck bed. The camper can still be removed from the truck, but the camper would unbolt, instead of removing turn buckles. (Note: The bolt down installation is NOT available for the 2005 and Newer Toyota Tacoma trucks with the composite (plastic) truck bed.) Customers leaving their camper on full-time sometimes choose the "bolt down" installation as well.

The Fiamma 8' Foot Side Awning is an excellent choice for simplicity, durability, and ease of use. The awning provide coverage from the outside elements down the passenger side of your camper.

Looking for side and rear coverage on your camper from the outside elements? The Eezi-Awn Bat 270 Wraparound Awning will provide you with 270 degrees of awning coverage around the passenger side & rear of your camper.

If you plan to put your camper on your truck, and also take it off your truck by yourself, you will need to order the Mechanical Camper Jacks option. These jacks can be left on the camper all the time, or removed for your travels. If you don't plan on taking your camper off during your camping trips, we usually recommend leaving the jacks at home. Without camper jacks attached to your camper, your camper will be lighter weight and you'll have better visibility with your side mirrors on the truck.

Axe & Shovel Kit Combo. This option attaches to the rear wall of the camper (to the jack bracket on the corner of the camper).

Do you live in an area where experience really hot or humid weather? Then you could consider a small Rear Wall Air Conditioner for your camper. The air conditioner option is only available on a few of our camper models, and only in a couple of the floor plans. Please ask your sales person or dealer if your particular camper floor plan can accommodate the air conditioner. (IMPORTANT NOTE: This air conditioner requires 120 volt shore power electricity from a campsite or generator. Unfortunately it can not be run on 12 volt battery power).

If you order a roof rack and want better access to load & unload items off of the camper roof, you might want to consider adding the Rear Wall Steps to your camper order. Besides giving you better access to the roof, the rear wall steps are also useful for hanging towels & swimsuits on, locking bikes to, and many other things.

Prefer to carry your surfboard or SUP on the side of your camper, instead of on the top of your camper roof? Then you can consider this board rack. Easy installation for both new & older Four Wheel Campers (no drill application - bolts onto the camper jack brackets).

The Exterior LED Lighting Package is a great option if you are looking for more outside lighting  around your truck & camper at night. This option comes with 4 LED lights outside facing downwards towards the ground (1 light under teach corner of the camper). And on a separate switch, 2 LED side lights to light up both the driver's side & passenger side around your truck. The lights don't use much power and it makes getting around the campsite at night much safer.

LED Rear Flood Lights can be a nice addition to your camper if for are looking for the most possible light outside. These lights are typically used for short periods of time as bright utility lights. Examples on how customers will use their rear flood lights: unloading your horses at night, putting your boat in the water in the dark, scaring away unwanted critters in your campground at night, and many more uses not listed.

Looking for a simple, basic, inexpensive roof rack? The Aluminum Roof Rack we offer might fit your needs. It included the rear cargo rack and also a single cross bar near the front of the camper roof.

This option is for the complete Yakima Roof Rack System. It would include Yakima tracks installed on the camper roof, landing pads, towers, 2 cross bars , and locks.

Roof Rack "Tracks Only" installed on the camper roof. This option will allow you to easily add the complete Roof Rack System at a later date.

Overland Solar 130 Watt Portable Solar Panel without the charge controller.

Solar is becoming more popular each year. For customers ordering the compressor style refrigerators, or for customers that want to insure their camper battery(s) stay as charged up as possible will usually order the complete solar system with their new camper. This package includes the Overland Solar 160 watt roof mounted solar panel, the MPPT charge controller, wiring, in-line fuse, and the system will be ready to go when you pick up your camper. 

Want more reserve power for your camper? Adding a second 12 Volt Battery (dual battery set up) will give you double the battery power, compared to having just 1 battery in your camper.

All of the new Four Wheel Pop-up Campers come standard with 1 (one) 12 Volt deep cycle camper battery and the battery separator. Customer can choose to upgrade to dual camper batteries if these choose to. The battery separator will automatically keep the truck starting battery, and the camper battery, separate from each other while you are camping. This ensures your truck will always start, even if you have some how accidentally drained the camper battery(s).

Dual Lithium Batteries for your new Four Wheel Camper.

Dual 6 volt batteries will hold approx. 25% more power, compared to having Dual 12 volt batteries.

Single Lithium Battery option for your new Four Wheel Camper.

The Hot Water Heater & Outside Shower Package includes the hot water heater and the outside shower feature. You will also be able to use hot water at the inside sink with this option.

The Forced Air Furnace is our most popular option. Having a furnace is the best option for customers camping in colder weather. Early Spring, Late Fall, or in the Winter, having a warm furnace that is safe & comfortable to use is highly desirable to our customers.

All of the new Four Wheel Campers come standard with the traditional wood grain interior look (maple wood color). But you can upgrade to the Silver Spur Interior (Light Grey / Dark Grey Interior) if you like. Some customers comment that this interior has a little darker feeling to it, but others consider it to be a more modern looking interior. This option would be for the upgrade to the Silver Spur Interior on any of our normal slide-in camper models (Grandby, Hawk, Raven, Fleet, Swift, etc.). You can still pick whatever fabric color you want for the seat cushions and mattress cover.

All of the new Four Wheel Campers come standard with the traditional wood grain interior look (maple wood color). This has been a popular interior choice for our customers over the years. It has a bright & warm feeling to it. Lightweight, durable, and no additional charge (it is built into the base camper price). There are many different interior fabric colors for you to choose from.

The Suburban 2.7 cu.ft. Refrigerator/Freezer is a Gas Absorption style refrigerator and can be run on 3 different modes (120V AC shore power, 12V battery power, or propane) The biggest benefit to a gas absorption refrigerator is that is can be run on propane the entire time you are camping, and won't drain your camper battery(s) down. It can run (cool) the refrigerator using propane. But that said, this style of refrigerator does have to be perfectly level in order to work properly, and these refrigerators do unfortunately have a hard time cooling in hot weather conditions (95 degrees F, or hotter).

The Isotherm 85 Liter Refrigerator/Freezer is a compressor style refrigerator unit that runs on either 12 volt battery power or 120 volt shore power electricity. This refrigerator does NOT run on propane.  The benefits to a compressor refrigerator like this, is that is does not need to be level to work properly, once you turn it on, it works, and it usually will cool more efficiently in hot weather. But you will need a dual battery system and a roof mounted solar panel to keep up with the power it uses. Without dual batteries and a good solar system, this style of refrigerator will drain your camper battery down in about 1 day. For customers wanting modern appliances and more counter space, the Flush Mount Sink & Stove upgrade is very popular. The sink & stove are recessed into the countertop giving you more usable counter space.

All base model campers come standard with a 2 burner propane stove, and the stainless steel sink. Customers can upgrade to the "flush mount appliances" if they desire. The basic (standard) sink & stove work well for most all customers. Simple, durable, and easy to use. (Note: Sink & stove locations, placement, & direction varies depending on camper model & floor plan).

Back-up cameras are available for Factory Direct camper orders, and many of our individual dealers offer these as an option as well. These aftermarket backup cameras are available for most trucks, but not all. Your truck needs to have a factory installed camera already for our camera to work properly.

The "Carpet Kit" option is a custom made piece of carpet to lay over the standard linoleum floor. All campers always come with the linoleum flooring, but if you want something nicer and more comfortable, a carpet kit is a nice touch. Some customer feel that it helps to keep the camper cleaner inside, as the carpet allows dirt to settle and can be swept out when you get home from your camping trip. The carpet is removable for easy cleaning.

Looking for the largest cabover bed inside your camper? Or maybe you would prefer to sleep North/South (front to back) up in the cabover bed? Then please consider the "King Slide-out" for the cabover bed in our Full Sized Campers, and in some of the Flat Bed Models as well. (Note: The smaller Swift & Fleet Models already offer the North/South sleeping arrangements). Also please make note: Hawk & Raven Models with the Roll Over Couch Seating or the Side Dinette Seating floor plans also require the customer to choose the "Flush Mount Appliances" option.

This starter package includes the following options ... 5 gallon gray water storage bag (for containing the sink waste water), the standard propane tanks “purged” for the first time and filled with propane for you. (This package does not include extra propane tanks), 1 non-toxic fresh water filler hose, 1 bottle of Product 303 Protectant (Vinyl protectant for “pop-up” portion of camper), 1 bottle of Product 303 Wash (Camper cleaner for washing the outside of your camper), a water pressure regulator (for hooking up camper to city water), the 120V electrical extension cord (for plugging camper in to a campsite or generator), and extra fuses (small bag of assorted extra 12v fuses for emergencies).

If you like more comfort or like to camping in cooler weather conditions, the Thermal Pack is a great option for you. The camper will be warmer inside when you have the Thermal Pack option installed, the camper will stay a bit darker in the morning when the sun is coming up, and it is also a good sound barrier in case you have noisy neighbors at the campsite next to you. The Thermal Pack can be left in the camper year round, removed when you want, and the camper roof will still go up and down when the thermal pack is installed.

Back-up cameras are available for Factory Direct camper orders, and many of our individual dealers offer these as an option as well. These aftermarket backup cameras are available for most trucks, but not all. Your truck needs to have a factory installed camera already for our camera to work properly. This more expensive (complex) back-up camper is for the newer trucks with the 360 degree view cameras.

Not going to order the "Thermal Pack" with your new camper? Then maybe consider adding just the Thermal Pack "Prep" option. Our factory will install the lower Velcro strip along the interior walls so that if you want to add the Thermal Pack down the road, installation will be quick & easy when it arrives.

Roll Over Couch Floor Plan (standard): The base model interior design has been improved to a roll over seat back making into an additional bed. The benefit to this standard offering is a great storage capacity under the seat. Side by side seating on the couch is quite ample, with the small portable table providing a work or dining surface. A storage cabinet over the seat provides added storage capacity. This is the seating that come standard on all base model campers (it's built into the base camper price).
