The Best Toyota Tacoma Lightweight Truck Camper
We service nearly every type of truck with a custom pop up camper option, from the ultra-lightweight Project M to the expedition-ready flatbed model.
One of our most popular truck & camper combinations are Toyota Tacomas with our slide-in 5ft & 6ft bed truck camper models.

Lightweight Truck Camper Options for Toyota Tacomas
Mid-size trucks are the perfect size for many of our Four Wheel Camper models. There are different models and options available based on your truck bed size.
The Swift: The 5ft truck camper option is our Swift camper model. It’s the ideal short-bed solution for those with mid-size trucks looking for a lightweight truck camper that provides both comfort and versatility.
Swift Specs:
- Fits 5’0” truck beds
- One floor plan option
- Base option available
- Dry weight 950lbs
- Interior height popped up – 6’4”
The Fleet: The 6ft truck camper option is our Fleet slide in camper model. The Fleet is our #1 most popular mid-size truck camper at Four Wheel Campers, because it is the ideal size and fit for many of our customers. Some of our FWC family use it as their full-time rig, living in it as they travel and camp around the country. Others use it as their weekend warrior rig, bringing along pets, loved ones, and even kiddos for fun getaways and adventures.
Fleet Specs:
- Fits 6’0” truck beds
- Three floor plan options
- Base option available
- Dry weight 1,050lbs
- Interior height popped up – 6’4”
The Project M: This is the most lightweight and minimalistic option for Toyota Tacoma truck campers. The Project M is a truck topper option, which is bolted to your truck bed using the Toyota gear track. It fits both truck bed sizes and it does not require the removal of your truck tailgate. It is perfect for someone who wants a comfortable truck camper while still being able to use the truck bed for things like hauling & loading.
Project M Specs:
- Fits nearly every truck
- Shell option only
- From 352 lbs
- Interior height popped up – 6;4”
